is there a shortcut to show/hide the navigator in contact sheet mode like F in preview mode for <Full screen mode> (toggles) ?

No, but you can double-click the vertical splitter and the Favorites/Navigator pane will collapse/expand immediately.

for a <one hand> workflow on a laptop it would be comfortable to have as many shortcuts as possible. Please put it on the wishlist.
