For my current workflow, I have automated processes that archive all of my images to local and remote RAID5 NAS devices.  If the archive bit is set when I update my keywords at a later point, then those files are automatically backed up with the new keywords.  It would be useful is this option could be enabled in PM.

Stevie, So what you are asking is for PM to set the Archive bit whenever it has altered the file?

To my knowledge it already does that.  I just checked this and it does...
