Variable Manipulation
« on: October 20, 2007, 06:09:00 PM »
I know from a previous post in the forums that I can do things like {model-3} which represents the 3 final characters of the model name.  Where can I find documentation on all of the variable manipulation that may be available?

Thanks.

In the upcoming 4.5.3 manual.

BTW, your example would be {model:-3} (note the missing colon in your example.)

This feature is called Substring Extraction (you can search for it in this forum that name) it appeared in PM 4.5 and its Release notes http://www.camerabits.com/pages/PM4History4.5.html briefly details the options. It isn't a quite deep tutorial on it, but for first it is enough logic solves and Kirk allways listens to further questions...
