Is there a way to tell Photo Mechanic 4.5.3 (Mac, 10.5.1) _not_ to create an xmp sidecar for each ingested NEF during the ingest? I'm not applying the IPTC Stationary Pad during ingest so I can't figure out why .xmp sidecar files for my NEFs are being created. I seem to recall in the past that the sidecar files wouldn't be generated until and unless I was applying IPTC metadata.
(I need to disable the sidecar generation since I'm tagging with Nikon ViewNX and Capture NX and when importing into Expression Media it gets confused on some files as to whether it should read the xmp (which is empty) or the NEF itself, resulting in inconsistent metadata across a set of files).
