How do I find the shutter actuations?

Under the Edit menu, I Added Actuations to the Set Info Text list and when I click on an image, look in the info box the actuations does not appear. I scrolled down but nothing else. How so I see the shutter actuations? thanks!

Not all cameras support this feature.  What camera are you using?

Can you paste the entire contents of the Set Info Text dialog to your response back to me?  I'd like to see the variables you're using.

And is your 1Ds a Mark I, II, or III?

thanks for the help.

Here are the contents from Edit>Set Info Text. I added two other items to see if they would show up and they did. The line for the actuations was blank but the other items showed up after that.

I am using the 1Ds Mark l. I looked at some of my images from the 5D and in that line I get the numbers 1-4 and then starts up again with one. The Nikon D300 seems to give the actuations with the number continuing to increase with each frame.  Jen

Yes.  But if you have re-saved the images in something like Photoshop, the data containing the actuation count can be lost.  Are you working with images that are completely unmodified and are straight from the camera?

Got it! The image was saved as a JPEG so I checked the raw file and now I see the number.
