cannot eject disc as it is in use

Hi

Getting this message"cannot eject disc as it is in use" even after ingest(unmount after ingest box ticked) but no applications running.Any ideas.

Do you have a file open on the disk?  Are you browsing the disk with Photo Mechanic?

No that is the strange thing.Have formatted card tried contextual menu eject as well as dragging onto trash.Intermitent fault this but very annoying as pulling out card reader cannot be good for data.

If your next step after ejecting the card is to put it back in your camera and format it, then the data will be basically erased anyway.  (In actuality it won't be completely lost after the format but the directory information will be lost due to the format.)
