Save to JPG options
« on: September 27, 2008, 04:13:13 AM »
Hello,

it would really rock my world if you could get a constrain proportions function to Save as JPG dialog.

It is really frustrating if you are trying to shrink pictures cause you cant choose by width or height when doing this. Only fit in the box, percentage and width and height.

Thanks!

Here is what Save as will look like in version 4.6.  Does this meet your needs?

Hello,

thank you for your help.

I just realised that it will work afterall with the box option. I dont know what happened earlier that I couldnt get it work but now it works. Sometimes you try to do things too difficult.

Kirk,

I hope in 4.6 that the jpg quality slider has much more sensitivity at the low end than it does now.

At the moment it does not, but that feature is on my list.

I'm really looking forward to use the embedded jpg when saving from a raw file without using export for web or extract jpg. What I would like to see some form of selective sharpening. Sometimes the sharpening that PM does is a bit to much.

I'm sorry to ask - is there a plan when to release 4.6 or a beta of 4.6? I understand if you don't want to commit to anything by writing here.

I'd say a beta should be ready in a few weeks but I could be wrong.
