slide show timing
« on: October 22, 2008, 04:23:27 PM »
shame on me... I shoot sports in RAW -- I should know better.  Then I expect PM and my 8-core mac pro to render a slide show from these images -- cropped as necessary -- in about a half second per slide.     I really should know better.

Now... when the slide show gets going, it can usually keep up at 0.75 seconds per shot, but sometimes it gets bogged down.   That's not the problem... the problem is when the bog-down clears, the slides start running as fast as they can -- way faster than the original requested time.   My guess... like .1 or .2 seconds per slide untill they catch up.

So... my enhancement request is... that "show each image for ____ seconds" should be treated as a minimum time.   If I type a value that the CPU can't keep up with, then don't shorten subsequent image times to catch up.
