Edited tag on a folder and/or image
« on: November 17, 2008, 11:58:29 PM »
I don't know if any of this is possible but- I'd like to know if
A. I've viewed images in a folder in preview mode.
B. edited -  color coded / deleted any in a folder
C. Added IPTC Data to any in a folder.

My issue is - I ingest into dated folders each day but sometimes don't edit / caption a days images for a few days. I'm looking for a way to know if / what I've done to a folder. because if I forget to ad IPTC data to any images - they won't show up in a search a month from now.

Not possible and I don't know how we would keep track of that other than shadowing the status in a data file which would clutter up your folder, or by adding a bit of information to the photo itself which many wouldn't like happening.

You could always sort by color class.  I can't suggest a solution for file deletion.

You could do a Text export with all of the fields that you usually use.  If you get a fairly blank text file then you'll know you haven't worked on the photos.

For things like this I keep a notepad next to my keyboard and use it like a check list.  Simple but effective.
