When I applied map coordinates with the 4.6 Beta 2 map tool, it erases all the previous metadata from my NEFs.  Ratings, labels, and all keywords disappear.

Jason,

When I applied map coordinates with the 4.6 Beta 2 map tool, it erases all the previous metadata from my NEFs.  Ratings, labels, and all keywords disappear.

Is this with the beta from 2/20/2009?

What are your IPTC/XMP preferences for TIFF-based RAW files?

Are you embedding IPTC/XMP or relying only on sidecar files?

What do you read first - IPTC or XMP?

What tool did you use (Set GPS Coordinates or Import GPS Coordinates)?

What is the build date of the beta?  Is this Mac or Windows?
