Import GPS Coordinates PM 4.6
« on: March 05, 2009, 03:47:04 PM »
I just upgraded to PM 4.6 (Windows) and can't get my pictures geocoded.  I select the photos, import the gpx, set the offset & click Import & a dialog box appears like it's writing the coordinates but nothing happens.  Is there something I'm missing?  I've used GPicSync to geocode my pictures without a problem and PM recognizes the coordinates.

What kind of picture files are you working with?  JPEG? RAW? TIFF?

Canon RAW CR2

OK, well currently we do not create EXIF tags for the GPS data and only store it in XMP data.  We may add that functionality in the future once we can be sure it's safe.

Some applications do not pickup GPS data from XMP data but we expect more and more applications to do this in the future.
