PM 4.6 File Uploader causes system crash
« on: March 12, 2009, 11:33:49 AM »
I've now had the PM 4.6 File Uploader cause a complete system crash twice. This time I'm uploading approx 35 ~4MB JPGs to SmugMug. Here are the options in the File Uploader dialog: Transmit - Original photos; Operations - none; Save upload logs to folder - yes.

I click 'Send' and there is a copy command that begins with a progress bar. This is when the crash occurs. It will get about 1/3 of the way through the files, then hang, then lock the system ~10 seconds later. It never begins the actual upload process.

MacOS 10.5.6, 2.8GHz core 2 duo, 4GB RAM

This doesn't happen every time--I have been able to upload successfully. But the chance of this complete system crash combined with the already slower smugmug uploads through PM 4.6 (discussed in another thread) means the feature isn't usable for me. Help?

The 4.6.1 beta should solve this issue.  We'll be making an Announcement of its release sometime today.
