Is there a way to open in LR only the files I selected in PM?

I have a similar problem. On my Mac editing with LR works fine with any number of images. On my Windows netbook however with (seemingly) the same setup LR only imports the images one by one popping up LR's import dialog for each image separately, greatly slowing down the process. This is the first win machine I tried using LR on. Is it a Mac/Win difference, or a setting issue, or what?

It's a Mac/Windows difference.  Try using drag and drop instead.
