Color class are not matching from PM to LR...
« on: May 06, 2009, 12:43:13 PM »
Hi, Kirk and everyone.

You are hearing a lot from me today, right? I hope Im not bothering.

Now the issue is this:

- I made my sorts with yellow and green using 3 cameras.
- Sent all to LR.
- in LR, some of the files that is supposed to be yellow are colorless.

take a look on the SS's:

Notice that are the same files. I didnt touch the color class in LR, it openned like that.

How to solve it?

Thanks!

Do your Color Class names in Photo Mechanic match your Label names in LR?  Do you have PM set to use XMP sidecar files for TIFF-based RAW files, and not embedding IPTC4XMP into them?

Had LR seen the images in question before you had color classed them?

Do your Color Class names in Photo Mechanic match your Label names in LR?

Yes, it does. All I used was yellow and green. Some yellow were seen by LR, and some dont.

Do you have PM set to use XMP sidecar files for TIFF-based RAW files, and not embedding IPTC4XMP into them?
I dont know... I posted a screenshot that might have the answer in it. Please let me know if the answer is not there...

Had LR seen the images in question before you had color classed them?
Nope, its the first time Im opening these in LR.

Other thing I noticed: Stars rating is not working either... I have selected in PM one, two and three stars, which are invisible on LR only on those which color rating cannot be seen...

Thanks, again!

Your IPTC/XMP settings look good.  I'd like to see your Files tab settings as well.

If you're not using PM 4.6.1 beta 7, please get it from the Announcements section of the forums.

OK, well one thing I can offer is for you to upload some sample files and I'll take a look at them to see if there is anything amiss.  Please click on my name to the left of this message, then click on the 'personal message' link.  I will respond with upload instructions.
