menu has vanished

somehow I have managed to make the File   Edit   View  Window  Help  options disappear and can only operate via Shortcuts.  No clue as to what I did to cause this.  Running XPSP2 on 4G ram.  version 4.6.1 but just upgraded from 4.6.  However upgrading didnt restore the main window so I am scratching my head.  Screen shot enclosed as to what I see when PM is open.     Nevermind - sorry - found the answer further down.......

Have you already tried starting the application with the shift key held? This will reset all menus and buttons to their original position.
