I am using the latest version of PM on an iMac with 4 gigs of ram. Lately, if I want to copy/move a large number of images, which are on a separate hard drive from the location of the PM program, within the hard drive where the images are located my iMac freezes up on me and requires a restart. At times some of the images are copied and moved before the freeze occurs. Most recently, I was moving 135 images and 12 moved and then the freeze happened. There was no way to deal with this other than turning the iMac off and restarting. This happened three times in a row. Finally, I copied the images and then deleted them from the contact sheet rather than copy/move and that did not cause a freeze. Thoughts??
