canon 1ds preview
« on: August 04, 2006, 02:34:46 AM »
Hi,
I have been using photo mechanic (latest version) with a canon 1dsmkII with no problems for last few months. I am now shooting with canon 1ds also and although files show up in photomechanic when I have the preview window open for an individual file it is made up of large pixels and does not change. I shoot raw only.
Is thsi a known problem with the 1ds and do i need to shoot raw + jpeg to show files clearly in photo mechanic?
I would rather not do so if I can help it.
Thanks.

Hi Marc,

do i need to shoot raw + jpeg to show files clearly

Yes, try hitting "Q" if you're on Mac OS X 10.4.6+. The Canon 1Ds only has tiny embedded previews that PM relies on. On Mac PM can use Apple's ImageIO to render RAW files. It just takes a little longer.
