Import Keyword List

I am running Photo Mechanic version 4.6.1 and I run Mac OS X 10.5.8 on my Mac.  Is is possible to import an already prepared Keyword List from another program such as Adobe Bridge CS4?  If so please explain how.

I don't know.  What does their exported keyword list file look like?

I don't know how to respond except it is the higharchial type created in Bridge.  For example:  Vertebrates
                                                                                                                                     Animals
                                                                                                                                        Birds
                                                                                                                                           Cardinal.
If this keyword file cannot be imported will PM read keywords placed on an image by another software such as Bridge?

Yes.  Photo Mechanic can read keywords in images (or XMP sidecar files) that other programs write, and writes them out in the same way such that other programs can read what Photo Mechanic writes.

It sounds like the keywords file you speak of would likely load just fine into the Structured Keywords panel in Photo Mechanic.  Please give it a try.
