XMP/IPTC Tab

Kirk,
I am an amateur photographer and my workflow is as follows:
I shoot Canon Raw and I only use DPP and PM.
In PM:
Ingest, rename, apply IPTC, Keywords, label and tag.
In DPP:
If necessary, crop, adjust white balance, picture style and noise reduction. Then I save in DPP (not convert and save, unless I'm going to print the pic or send to a web site, in which case I convert and save as jpeg - maximum quality).
My questions are:
Do you think my workflow is reasonable?
What should be the configuration of the XMP/IPTC tab? The default one? If not, could you post the correct configuration for such a workflow?
I have a MacBook with Snow Leopard.

Sounds fine to me.  It appears to be working for you just fine as it is.

Thanks for your quick reply, Kirk.
Now, when I do exactly that, PM cannot read the changes I've made with DPP (for example, white balance).
What am I doing wrong? I am using the default configuration for the XMP/IPTC tab.
