If there is a way to do this, I've not found it as of yet.

I'd love to be able to open a single image, from a standard Finder/Files/Folder view directly into the IPTC Image or IPTC Stationary Pad view. I'm sure I'm not the only person for which such a feature would be useful.

There are times when I want to modify a caption for an image, where it's located currently, but have to first load the entire folder as a contact sheet first. If the folder is large this process can take some time. Since all I want to modify is the single image I have selected this takes more time that I would like.

Is there a way to do this?

If not that, is there a way to open a single image so that it is the only item that appears within a new contact sheet, suppressing the others images from having to be read into the contact sheet?

Thanks.

David

There is no way to do that.  Photo Mechanic is a folder browser, not a file browser.

On a Windows machine you can use IrfanView to open an image and edit its IPTC data (press i and again i).

However I prefer watching all folders within PM for its superior capabilities.
Working on Mac, OSX, iOS and with some Canons.
Allways shooting RAW.
