Hi,

I've got PM 4.5.4 running on MacBook Pro 2.33GHz C2D, 3GB's of RAM.
Mac OS X 10.5.8.

Recently PM has started acting slowly - every time when I return from Photoshop to PM the Beach Ball spins for 5-10 seconds and PM doesn't respond until it's done.

Cache is emptied every time PM is quitted.
Disk cache size is set to 512MB maximum, Memory usage capped to 256MB.

No issues with other software, only PM seems slow when switching back to it's window.

Photo Mechanic rescans all of the open contact sheet tabs when resumed.  How many files are in each tab, how many tabs, and what sort method do you use?  Filename sorting is the fastest.

You can use the Activity Monitor application to see if virtual memory paging is occurring when you resume PM.  You can also double-click on the Photo Mechanic application process in the Activity Monitor window and click on the Sample button to sample PM while it is hung and post the sample here so I can see what PM is doing during the hang.

Ahh, I guess you just solved it ;D
One tab, ~900 D3 RAW's in the folder - must be that slowing down ;)

Thank you VERY MUCH for fast answer!
Gotta upgrade the license soon to support the good work ;)
