Facebook is very much part of many marketing strategies, and it's use is certainly going to increase rapidly.
Lets not get left behind on this, a Facebook uploader would be a very useful indeed. Anyone else sharing these thoughts - please keep asking.

Facebook requires an authentication process that our template-based uploader system cannot accomplish at this time.

It cannot be done in Photo Mechanic until the system can host a web-browser running JavaScript that gives information back to the template dynamically.  Not an insurmountable task, but enough of a task that we see it as a lower priority item.  Perhaps Facebook will eventually allow other methods of authentication, like the simple one that Flickr offers.
