I am not sure what you mean by repeating field.  I suppose it means a field in which there can be more than one entry.   And your point is that the fields need to be delimited by a character such as a the comma.   Sounds good.

Some fields are single entry fields (like City, State, Caption, etc.) and others end up being repeated for each item entered when written to the IPTC record (Keywords, Caption Writers, etc.) and to make the distinction of separate items, a separator character is used (PM uses comma or semi-colon).

In Photo Mechanic I used File->Export to export a text file showing the lens used (the {lenstype} variable) for each image in a contact sheet, brought it into Excel and plotted this usage summary.   Very cool!   Peter

Here's is a newer version of the txt file for lens replacements. It has 45 lenses listed, mostly Nikon and Sigma, but a few others too.
