Changing metadata in PM dletes LR4.1 edits

I ingest images and then changing some metadata using PM. Next I import the images into LR and do some editing. Usually I am done by then, but sometimes I want to add somthing into IPTC fields, again using PM (I need the variables). Everything is fine until I synch the changed files with LR again. It seem that the image then has returned into its original state.

I save the changes done in LR using crtl s into the file. In PM I could use the Keyword pannel, the Structured Keyword panel or the Stationary Pad, sesults are the same.

Any idea??

Make sure that you're reading XMP sidecar files first and Embedded XMP second.  See the IPTC/XMP section of the Photo Mechanic Preferences dialog under the 'When reading...' area.
