Exclude files at ingestion
« on: October 31, 2012, 08:39:32 PM »
I am switching over to Sony. I managed to get some sample shots (that I cannot publish) to test with my workflow. Sony cameras write an index file with the extension .IND. How can I prevent this file from being ingested? If that is not possible, how can I limit what files are ingested? This file is going to cause issues because it always has the same date in 1969. I would rather not ingest it as it is only meaningful to the camera.

Short answer: nothing can be done by you, the user to prevent the file from being ingested.

If you can tell me how that file is named then I can add code to the next build of PM 5 to ignore it since it has no use.  I understand it ends in .IND, but what are some examples of the whole filename?

Thanks,

-Kirk

I believe it was memstick.ind and it was located in the MP_ROOT/101ANV01 folder.
