Tagging of pictures on CF card lost ...

Hi,

I often have to tag pictures (Nikon NEF files) via PM (v5, Win 7 x64) directly on the compact flash cards. Now I have to poblem that as soon as I close the tab of the cf card the tagging is lost. If pictures were tagged directly in the camera it works but the tagging with PM on the card isn't permanent.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Hi Oliver!

Go to the Preferences of PM, select the Files-Area and tick "Allow modification of files on Camera Disks".

PM's default is that the option is not enabled. All edits are removed by default then.

Thanks alot!!! I kept looking in the IPTC/XMP parf of the preferences.
