File Uploader + Apply IPTC Stationery Pad

I would like to use the File Uploader to send photos to my Photoshelter like always, but add a custom IPTC Caption Field during the process.

However, right now the optional "Apply IPTC Stationery Pad" is greyed out and does not allow me to select the option.

How can I apply a custom IPTC to photos I upload using the File Uploader?

I don't see how that is possible.  Sending originals or sending JPEGs should both allow an IPTC Stationery Pad to be applied.  Can you post a screenshot showing the ability to apply IPTC Stationery as disabled?  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your JPEG format screenshot.

I can apply the IPTC information initially, I just can't append or change anything during upload. Here is a screenshot to show you what I'm talking about.

What version of Photo Mechanic are you using?  That screenshot looks like it is from a really old version of Photo Mechanic.

It's not a really old version, just the previous version. Using 4.6.9.

I see that the IPTC Stationery Pad button itself is enabled.  Have you tried setting up your stationery to have at least one 'apply' checkbox set?

This is really odd.  I just looked at the source code for the template and it has no code for disabling that checkbox.  I don't know how it is getting disabled for you.  I'll have to talk to the engineer that created the template system and get back to you.

Thanks for looking in to this. I bet it's some really simple option or preference somewhere that will make us seem silly later. Would it be possible to email me directly from this point forward? I am leaving tomorrow morning for a 30-day photo assignment and it would be far easier to check email on the road than check this forum.
