Showing images in slideshow at 100%

Can an option be added to the slideshow dialog to allow for images to be shown at 100% rather than fit to screen please ?

It is possible to view images like this in Preview but, particularly when preparing web galleries, I find it useful to allow the computer to run through the images several times so I can pick out images that don't fit, are positioned at the wrong place in the set (either aesthetically or by timeline), are too detailed for viewing when only 700px long or, frankly after seeing a few times, bore me ! Carrying out this process would be so much easier as a slideshow.

Yes, but not without a lot of work.  We'll consider the request, but it likely won't be implemented anytime soon.
