Sort by Coded - time order
« on: July 02, 2013, 08:15:36 AM »
I just color coded a group of images - I planned on making some image a different color then the prior set but accidently used the SAME color. The correct color was done yesterday the incorrect was today. I would like to separate them by time so I can RE-color code the newer one to a different color.
Is any of this possible?
I went into windows explorer to see when the XMP file were dated but while I thought I modified 5 or 6 - 23 had today as the date modified!!!

Oddly my XMP time stamp idea is not good because even some images I did not color code at all had today as a time modified.

You want to sort on the modification date/time of what?  The image?  The XMP data?

I'm looking to see if its possible to sort on the time a file was color coded - I thought that would be the time the xpm file was written - But I'm not sure that is accurate.

Joe,

I'm looking to see if its possible to sort on the time a file was color coded - I thought that would be the time the xpm file was written - But I'm not sure that is accurate.

The modification date/time of the XMP sidecar file should be the last time it was written, but PM definitely won't sort on its modification date/time.  The modification date/time of the image file itself would be used to sort in a Modification Time sort.

You should be able to sort the images in the OS (Finder or Windows Explorer) and look for the XMP sidecar files that are modified on the date you're looking for.
