No raw support for Olympus EM-1
« on: October 03, 2013, 07:05:30 PM »
Running Photo Mechanic version 13915 on Win7 64bit.

I received the new Olympus OM-D EM-1 yesterday and today I discovered the ORF files aren't recognized in PhotoMechanic. It leaves all the raw images grey and unrendered. I suspect it's because the camera has only just been released but Adobe already has support for it in their latest update. Unless you have a work around I will have to shoot Raw+Jpg for now but I don't want to do that for long. It  uses up unnecessary HDD and card space, as well as fills up the camera buffer faster.

If this should go under feature request instead of support I apologize, I put it here in hopes you might actually have a work around in the meantime.

Thanks

Our next build (due in a week or two) will (does already) have support for the Olympus EM-1.  There is no workaround other than to shoot in RAW+JPEG mode for now.
