Ingest problems when card reader disconnected
« on: November 11, 2013, 09:17:28 AM »
Makes sense on the incremental ingest…

We have problems if the reader cable is accidentally yanked while ingesting.
PM misses all the images on the card which did not download before the mistake.
What is your best workflow suggestion when this occurs…

What kind of Ingest are you using in this circumstance?

Incremental ingest disk. Not live, not from folder.

So you just get errors while the files are quickly skipped?

Yes that definitely occurs although some times it just says complete and ejects even though there are images still needing to be downloaded.

OK, well we will have to spend some time on this issue to reproduce it and to fix it.  The best I think we could do to react to this problem is to somehow "pause" the Ingest until the volume becomes mounted again.
