Still desperate for B+W previews !!!

Hi

I am still desperate for a quick toggle button to show thumbs & large images in B+W

I had a job the other day shooting the staff of a travel company in horrible mixed lighting (fluorescent & daylight mixed) & knowing it would be fine in the ultimate usage of B+W it didn't bother me.

However, when showing the client/sitters I was obliged to do a horrible run-around using Lightroom. WHY?! 

This would be SUCH an easy thing for you to implement & have saved me hours of pratting around.

PLEEEEEAAAAAASE !!!!

Or has anyone else got a quick alternative solution?!

If I know it's going to be in b/w in the end, I shoot in a b/w mode on the camera.  You get b/w previews, but can change it back to colour if later required (assuming you shoot RAW obviously). You still can't easily toggle between them of course, but it might be a workaround.

Good thought - I hadn't thought of that.

I do shoot raw NEFs & I think that at least with early models (Nikon D1 etc) the camera didn't keep all the data if you shot B+W.

Anyway, great suggestion & I will look into it.

Still would like the feature though (sometimes both colour & B+W are required & better to see colour & quickly switch to B+W for client's benefit)

If the RAW keeps all the color-inromation then think of shooting RAW + (small) JPG
