IPTC prefrence setting - very confused

Hello;

I am having difficulty understanding the V5 IPTC preferences menu.

I have uploaded a copy of my old preferences which worked well.

What should I set these settings to in V5 ?

I am concerned about the writing side - should I check "add embedded metadata" and "always create sidecar file" ?

Perhaps the quickest for you to do here (and get a good set of settings) is to click the lightning bolt in the preferences window and then choose the suggested settings for your type of workflow.

Thanks Hayo - will do as you suggest until I learn further about the features and how they differ from the older PM.   WilloW
