Variables Auto-suggest

Hi,

Mac OS 10.10.2,
PM Photo Mechanic Version 5.0, build 16268 (bcdb10d)

Quick question about variables.
I have not used variables in a while but from what I remember, when typing in the iptc stationary pad or the iptc info dialog, an auto suggest menu of variable names used to pop up if I opened a curly brace '{' and started to type in a variable such as {transref} or {date} but this is no longer happening.
Am I doing something wrong or is there something in the settings which I need to enable to bring this feature back?

You probably turned off the setting.  This part of the manual should help:
