Using Apple remote control with PM-slideshow?
« on: March 22, 2015, 12:52:27 PM »
Hi,

I like to use Photo Mechanics (PM) slideshow feature when giving lectures, but I like to be able to move around and skip to the next image wirelessly. But for some reason the Apple remote control does not seem to communicate with PM. Is it just me? And if the problem can't be fixed - can you then recommend another wireless remote control that works with PM?

Basically I just like to use the slideshow and being able to press a button on the wireless device whenever it's time to move to the next image.

Thanks.

Mads

I'm running:
OS 10.10.1, 2,5 GHZ Intel core i7 and Photomechanic 5.0

Photo Mechanic does not currently support the device you've described.  If there is some way to make the device simulate a 'space bar' or 'right arrow' keypress then I expect PM to respond appropriately.

Does it work with any other remote controls?

If they can simulate keystrokes (space bar, esc, left and right arrow keys) then they should work.
