Watermarking in Photo Mechanic

When I batch watermark in a folder, it is creating a duplicate image with the watermark in addition to the unmarked one. Have I check a wrong box? What can I do to prevent this?

I can't see how that would be possible.  What part of PM are you using to watermark an image?  Save As?  Exporter templates?

Are you doing renaming as well during the Save As operation?
What happens if you disable the watermarking and do the Save As?  Does the duplicate file problem go away?

And your Test1 folder is completely empty prior to the Save As operation?  If not and files with the same names already exist in Test1, then PM will never overwrite them.  This is by design.
