split screen magnification
« on: July 21, 2015, 10:01:30 AM »
Hello,

I'd love to have a "split screen magnification" feature: in preview, display the same image twice. One for the full frame (no magnification), one for a magnified selection (center, "last used"), zoom selected by slider.

This way, I could judge two aspects of an image at once: Is the image interesting based on its content, and is it sharp. Currently, I first have to select the image for its content, and then zoom in to check sharpness.

Regards

Did you know that you can hold down the Ctrl-key (Windows) or Command-key (Mac OS X) and click on an interesting area of a photo and it will zoom in at your current zoom level. Ctrl/Command clicking again will return to stretch to fit mode.

It is unlikely that I will add your feature request, but thanks for the feedback.
