External Editing More than one file

Working on a PC
Having a problem with external editor (which is lightroom)
I have lightroom set up as external editor
I have 20 set as max number of images to open without a warning
When I have multiple images selected in PM, only one will make it to the import dialogue in LR
I have tried ctrl-e
I have right clicked and selected "edit photo"
I have right clicked and selected "edit selected photos"
I have right clicked and selected "edit selected photos with"

In each case only one photo comes over to LR
I know I must be making a simple mistake, but any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated

I don't think you are doing anything wrong. It's just LR that doesn't do what you (and everyone else) expect (one of the many many reasons I prefer Adobe Camera Raw). It might work though if you drag and drop the selected files on the LR icon (if I recall correctly from other questions in this forum).
