Photo Mechanic Non-Responsive

Hello,

I've been experiencing PM becoming non-responsive every time I click off the program to access something else. When I click back on PM I get the pinwheel of death and I have to force quit in order to access it again. PM also takes extremely long to load and the program seem to run awfully slow. I am using a MacPro Desktop and running 10.11 I access my images from a Drobo s. Is anyone else having these problems? I'm not sure why this is happening.
