Ingest by date?

Hello.

So — I'm moving over from Ingestamatic and trying to maintain my workflow. Sometimes I don't clear a card before the next shoot so I'd like to be able to tell Photo Mechanic to only ingest photos from a certain date. Can't really see where this is possible. Is it? Or does Photo Mechanic expect to always gobble up an entire card?

In PM's Ingest dialogue box there is the option of Incremental Ingest.

More can be read about PM's Ingest options <here> in the online manual.

The relevant section states:

"Incremental Ingest: Copy new photos only checkbox: Photo Mechanic will keep track of all photos previously downloaded and will only download photos that have not been downloaded before. If you reformat your card in your camera, then all photos shot since the format will be downloaded."

While it doesn't allow you to choose to ingest photos from a specific date, it does avoid re-ingesting previous images.
