PM starting slow on my MAC

Hey Kirk, others...
Just recently PM has been lagging quite a bit on startup. My boss and i are bothon Power PC G5 towers that are only 8 months old. We both have the same issues and it just started out of the blue. We did add a new server to the mix but i can't imagine that is causing the slowdown is it? Any thoughts? 4.4.3.3 btw...

If you have a large Disk Cache set in your Caching preferences in Photo Mechanic then that can make things slow to startup since PM has to scan for all of the cached images on startup.

You can keep a large cache, but it will help to have the cache empty on exit.
