The LR/Instagram plugin has become very popular with Lightroom users due to it's ease of uploading files to Instagram directly from Lightroom.  It uses a new metadata field in Lightroom called #Hashtag.  Is the a corresponding field in PM that will translate to LR?

No, PM does not support that field.  Please post an example XMP file with a value in that field.  Use the 'Attachments and other options' link when you're composing your reply to this message and there you'll be able to upload your XMP file.
