DxO and ON1 Sidecar Files
« on: July 29, 2018, 01:24:17 PM »
I have searched both the manual and here on this forum and can find no way to prevent PM contact sheets from generating thumbnails for the proprietary sidecar files produced by DxO PhotoLab and ON1 Photo RAW. Is there a way to turn off this function?

Thanks in advance.

What is the file extension of these proprietary sidecar files?

You can turn off the viewing of unknown files as proxies from the View menu.

Thanks, Kirk. That solved the problem. The extensions are .on1 and .dop.

Thanks, Kirk. That solved the problem. The extensions are .on1 and .dop.

So if you had a CR2 file, DSC_1234.CR2, would the names of the sidecars be DSC_1234.on1 and DSC_1234.dop, or would the be DSC_1234.CR2.on1 and DSC_1234.CR2.dop ?

Ideally we would want to have PM consider them as "attached" files such that PM would move/copy/rename them for you when you perform operations on the main image file.

Thanks,

-Kirk

That's quite alright and appreciated.  It's the data that matters.

Thanks,
