PM 4.5 beta III, SAVE AS still clams program, intel iMAC
« on: April 01, 2007, 01:15:42 AM »
Kirk,

PM 4.5 beta III: <SAVE AS> still clams heavily PM on my intel iMAC. Aktivity monitor shows partially more then 100 percent CPU usage rate. I can not use PM while transfering files.

I have heard from others that the problem on some machines is still not fixed.  Apparently the Move to Trash on delete hang up is indeed fixed.

Can you do a test for me?  Can you disable any programs/startup items that alter the behavior of your system, and quit all other applications besides PM and the Activity Monitor?  Then try using PM 4.5 beta 3 with a very small contact sheet (fewer than 10 photos in it).  Does the problem still occur?

Thanks,

-Kirk

I did so but the problem still occur.

Is your Navigator/Favorites pane completely closed against the left side?  If so, try opening it back up slightly by dragging the vertical splitter bar to the right.  The performance should improve significantly.

Working on a fix right now.
