Tethered?
« on: February 16, 2019, 12:03:40 PM »
Does anyone have a reference for getting started in tethered shooting with PM? What I see in the online manual seems a bit limited..

Trying to connect Nikon D-750 or D-800 to mid-'17 MBP with USB-C ports. I have tried using cables with USB-C adaptors and the system seems to acknowledge there is a camera connected, but nothing further. First possibility that comes to mind is ordering up some tether tools cables.

Unless your camera identifies itself as disk to the operating system, PM is not able to access it. Since most (all?) modern cameras don’t do that anymore, you can’t use PM for tethered shooting.
