.HEIC Files Not Showing In PM

I saw one post about this from August 2018 but the new iPhone .HEIC format is not showing up in Photo Mechanic. Kirk said that it was heavily patented and hoped that it'll change.

Any updates on this or does anyone have an easy workaround? I've been converting them on a .HEIC to JPG conversion website, not ideal for sure.

Seems the newly announced Canon 1D X mkIII will support the format, so it will be good to find PhotoMechanic able to support it, otherwise many shooters may start to use Adobe products more.
