Mulitple FTP threads

Is it possible to increase the number of FTP threads? Given that most of the time sending is via fibre or broadband - and even 4g - only having two files at a time is slow - I have resorted to using an FTP client to move large numbers of files - would be nice to be able to select the number like filezilla etc

I'm sure it would be possible to scale them up, but work like that would have to wait until after the Photo Mechanic Plus beta.
