One thing that I would find useful is how to populate the various IPTC fields correctly.  The IPTC website has some APIs and even some downloadable data, but I have not seen a recipe for getting the right "presets" into Photo Mechanic.  I realise that some of this is beyond pro, but the capability seems to be there, so why not make it accessible?

How about some links to save me some time in searching around, please?

If there is a straightforward solution to get these presets into PM, I'd be keen on implementing them.

Thanks, Kirk. https://iptc.org/standards/photo-metadata/quick-guide-to-iptc-photo-metadata-and-google-images/ is a starting point, but I haven’t found anything there that I can feed directly into pm. Eg, there are xml news category / subject classifications. I just want to get a pre-populated drop down that use.  Presumably that can be achieved by massaging the xml in some way, or by interrogating the IPTC servers. The link above has a contact for tool creators that I would probably use as a starting point.
