The "Clear Search Field" is not working. Modifying the Quick Search by deleting some of the query with the backspace delete key just keeps appending the current query to the previous one with AND, which ends up very quickly in a search filter that doesn't return any pictures.
It is also strange and unexpected that the Quick Search:
1. looses focus very easily
2. doesn't allow the a highlighted text area to be cut
3. doesn't allow the standard cut/copy/paste keyboard shortcuts
4. selecting Recent Searches entry append to the previous search (instead of clearing the previous search)
Toggling a random Filter entry seems to be the only way to properly clear the Quick Search filter!
Example:
1. Filter by keyword: ket
2. Quick Search: rating > 4
3. Modify the Quick Search by deleting "4" and replacing it with "3"
4. "Searched 1 catalog for: (((keyword ^"ket")) AND (rating > 4)) AND (rating > 3), 0 results found."
It would actually be quite helpful to see and edit this actual search string (even if it's only in an advanced popup dialog), eg
(((keyword ^"ket")) AND (rating > 4)) AND (rating > 3)
It would also be helpful to show some more advanced Quick Search examples (in the Search Settings) with parenthesis, OR, AND, <>
