PM5 will not delete images

Trying to cull images but new iMac Mohave will not delete any images. Can someone help?

This could simply be a permissions issue, do you have permission to delete files in the folders in question? What is their location and how do you try to delete the images?

Hello again Hayo, thanks for the response.

Have tried deleting from PM5 contact sheet which seems to work sometimes and not others. On other occasions I have also had error messages saying that I do not have permission to carry out the task. Tried changing permissions but I now suspect that, as you pointed out, it is a permissions issue with the iMac rather than PM5. Have managed to delete an image by a convoluted work around, mainly guesswork, but will be going onto to Apple chat later today to see what they can suggest. Suspect now the problem is my ignorance of the Apple OS having just moved from Windows. Will let you know how I get on.

Problem was my images where in the wrong place on the new HDD. Now working OK when I remember that I no longer use Windows

Hi Frank, sorry to bring it up after a year, but what exactly did "wrong place on hdd" meant? Having same issue deleting files when using files from external hard drive

On the off chance Frank is not around to help, this is something that our customer support line should be able to troubleshoot.   It may be that he was placing images in a protected folder.
